Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree - NYC - Sunday Afternoon

Well, it had felt necessary to do the tourist thing and go look at the tree with the mass of people leading up to the holiday. The urge to do this was quickly passing as they were in the moment of it.

Mostly because it was too cold for Steve and too crowded for the both of them. But it was a pretty tree at least. The lone upside to the whole afternoon here.

"We can say we saw it now," Tony suggested, arm curled around Steve's and all bundled up in winter gear that was probably too expensive for where they were. Like he was just asking to be pickpocketed or something.

(Joke was on them, he never remembered to carry a wallet because why would he?)

Tony smiled at the clerk working the front desk and just pointed at the elevator as they passed by. "We know where to go."

"Have a nice stay," the clerk only sort of squeaked after them.

"I think they knew who we are," Steve said with a little grin.

"They should, you're the owner," Tony said, mostly just to see him sputter.

Sputter, Steve, sputter. "Beg your pardon?"

"It's in Brooklyn." Of course it'd be in Steve's name.

"What am I going to do with a hotel?" Steve asked.

Steve didn't understand investment properties.

"Continue to own it while they run it?" Tony suggested as the elevator chimed.

[heroic_jawline]

"I can do that?" Steve replied, blinking.

"Well, yes. You keep them from going under with the cost of owning a building in this neighborhood."

God help everyone.

"I can do that," Steve said.

Pepper was going to get so many questions.

Pepper did not deserve any of this.

"Now, come along, Captain. We need to warm up."

She could get some chocolate too!

"Is there a tub?" Steve asked.

"It should even be big enough to comfortably fit us both." It was. Steve, he did the math.

Steve grinned. "That seems like a swell way to warm up," he said, pushing the elevator button for the top floor.

"That's the plan," Tony agreed, leaning in for another kiss.

Steve lingered in it now that there weren't people to potentially scandalize. "I thought I was the man with the plan," he teased.

"Maybe you've rubbed off on me." Tony.

[heroic_jawline]

Steve's cheeks went red. "Um."

Tony beamed at him. "Something on your mind, darling?"

"One or two things, maybe," Steve said, sliding his arms around Tony's waist.

Well, when he went and did that...

Tony hummed as he leaned in for another kiss that was only interrupted by the elevator doors opening to let them know they were on their floor.

"This needs to be a taller building," Steve teased, stepping out of the elevator.

"Really?" Steve. Steve, no.

[heroic_jawline]

"So I could keep kissing you," Steve said. "Don't actually make it taller."

Tony sighed and trailed after him. "I guess."
