Apartment Above Stark Industries, Valentine's Day

There wasn't a massive stuffed animal or way, way too many flowers waiting for Steve in the apartment this year. If only because Tony had learned his lesson about those. Kind of.

He hadn't learned his lesson about making reservations at places that Steve could never, ever learn the real price tag of.

And there were still just a few dozen roses in hiding for when Steve finished getting ready to go. Look, he was doing his best at being restrained here!

"Love you!" Tony sang brightly.

"Not that much right now, no," Steve teased, wiping his face with a napkin.

"Awww, it was a promise of things to come." Filthy, slightly drunken things to come.

Steve blushed again. "Maybe don't promise with my mouth full."

Not helping, Steve.

Tony perked right up, trying his very best to not comment on that. It was a struggle, Steve. He hoped you appreciated his restraint.

Steve, innocent lamb, didn't realize what he'd said and just look faintly confused as he ate his dessert.

"Enjoying it?"

"Very much," Steve said.

His plate was pretty much empty, so...yeah.

Tony laughed quietly, waving down their server to have the rest of the sweets brought up to their room. "Bottomless pit."

"I'm a growing boy," Steve said, smiling.

He hummed in response, draining the very last of his glass of wine. "Should I start calling you 'young man'?"

"Will that make things weird?" Steve asked.

Yeah, the wines had hit.

"Oh, I'm well aware I'm dating a younger man," Tony said, standing up a little wobbly to offer him an arm.

Steve gave him a wobbly smile in return as he stood up. "Do we need to pay or do they know where we live?"

"It's charged to the room." Also, this kept Steve from knowing the cost. Genius, you see.

"Okay," Steve said, waving to the waitstaff. "Bye!"

"Come along, Captain," he teased, tugging Steve through the resturant.

"Yay, room service!" Steve said when they were out of the range of the restaurant.

He was super worried about offending the staff accidentally.

"You are adorable," Tony said, nearly hauling him into the elevator for a kiss.

Steve kissed him back, letting out a low, satisfied hum. "Now it's a good dinner."

"Been looking forward to that, huh?" he teased, leaning into Steve's space like he was going for a kiss, but instead pressing the button for their floor.

"Pretty much all night," Steve said.

"Feeling is very, very mutual," Tony assured him, curling Steve's tie around his hand to keep Steve close for another claiming kiss.

Steve smiled, sliding his finger along the cufflink shields Tony was wearing. "Mine," he murmured.

"All yours," he promised, letting the grip of his free hand get a little less safe for technically being in a public area.
