Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree - NYC - Sunday Afternoon

Well, it had felt necessary to do the tourist thing and go look at the tree with the mass of people leading up to the holiday. The urge to do this was quickly passing as they were in the moment of it.

Mostly because it was too cold for Steve and too crowded for the both of them. But it was a pretty tree at least. The lone upside to the whole afternoon here.

"We can say we saw it now," Tony suggested, arm curled around Steve's and all bundled up in winter gear that was probably too expensive for where they were. Like he was just asking to be pickpocketed or something.

(Joke was on them, he never remembered to carry a wallet because why would he?)

"I'm very unreasonable sometimes," Steve teased.

And he was, but maybe not this time.

"Penthouse," he said with a nod. "We're expected, so don't worry about it."

"We're expected?" Steve repeated.

"I made a reservation." At his own hotel. "Well, Pepper did."

"Thank you, Pepper," Steve said, grinning.

"It was my idea!" And it was the thought that counted.

"Excellent delegating," Steve said with a grin.

Tony gave him a little shove. "I had some clothing shipped here too."

Enjoy being dressed up like a very sexy Ken Doll, Steve.

Steve had been married to Tony long enough to ask, "What kind of clothing?"

"Just some pajamas and then something to wear while we're in town for the week."

Don't be surprised that the pajamas would just be a robe and slippers.

"That seems okay," Steve said carefully, heading towards the lobby.

Tony smiled at the clerk working the front desk and just pointed at the elevator as they passed by. "We know where to go."

"Have a nice stay," the clerk only sort of squeaked after them.

"I think they knew who we are," Steve said with a little grin.

"They should, you're the owner," Tony said, mostly just to see him sputter.

Sputter, Steve, sputter. "Beg your pardon?"

"It's in Brooklyn." Of course it'd be in Steve's name.

"What am I going to do with a hotel?" Steve asked.

Steve didn't understand investment properties.

"Continue to own it while they run it?" Tony suggested as the elevator chimed.

[heroic_jawline]

"I can do that?" Steve replied, blinking.

[imafuturist]

"Well, yes. You keep them from going under with the cost of owning a building in this neighborhood."

God help everyone.

"I can do that," Steve said.

Pepper was going to get so many questions.

Pepper did not deserve any of this.

"Now, come along, Captain. We need to warm up."

She could get some chocolate too!

"Is there a tub?" Steve asked.

"It should even be big enough to comfortably fit us both." It was. Steve, he did the math.
