Tony had promised to go all out for Steve's birthday and goddamnit, he was doing just what he promised.

He'd probably have to get JARVIS to not spill how much it cost, though. Yeah, that was going on the list.

But it was more than worth the view, watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee while Steve finished up his usual morning marathon.

"No," Steve said with a smile, always honest. "You made me ridiculously happy."

Tony let out a little sound that was between a sigh and a whine at how Steve could always cut right though all the bullshit Tony put up.

"Good," he replied, clearing some of that emotion from his throat.

Steve gave him an impossibly fond look, then kissed him, soft, slow and sweet.

"You're good at this," Tony muttered, holding onto him to stay close.

"Good at what, sweetheart?" Steve asked, kissing his jawline.

"This?" Tony replied quietly. "Us."

"Just following my instincts," Steve said.

"You have good ones then," Tony said, tilting his head to the side to allow Steve all the access to his neck. "Thankfully one of us does."

Steve bit down a little hard to get Tony's attention. "You are doing just fine."

"Oh, don't mind me," Tony muttered, grabbing onto Steve's hair and biting his own lip to keep the groan from that muffled. "Only--only get like this about the important things.

Steve rested his hand against the small of Tony's back, stroking reassuringly. "You're amazing at us."

"I feel... like I'm fumbling," he admitted, running his fingers through Steve's hair. "I want so much with you."

"You can have it all," Steve said softly. "Just ask."

Tony let out a fond little huff, kissing him again. "I will," he promised.

"And tell me when you get worried," Steve said, kissing his neck, "so I can tell you how wonderful you are."

"You'll give me a big head," Tony replied, chuckling at that before it trailed off into a pleased sigh.

"I will reinforce how very loved you are," Steve said earnestly.

Tony pulled back to give him a fond, searching look before kissing him again. "I am very lucky to have snatched you up."

Steve smiled back. "And I think I'm the lucky one here."

That just made Tony smile as well before he bit gently just below Steve's ear like he couldn't come up with a better response to that. "C'mon. I think I promised you tub sex."

"I believe that you did," Steve agreed, shivering.

"And we have this massive tub to work with..." Tony added, slowly moving to grind down against him.

"We do," Steve said, sounding a little breathless. "Nice of you to get a place so accomodatin'."

"My fella has good taste, so I had to find something to please him," he teased, not easing up on that when Steve made sounds like that.

Steve pressed slow kisses against Tony's neck, encouraging him but not wanting to be too pushy about it.
