Well, they'd had another repeat kid. One from a less than ideal timeline from the sound of things. But it was consistent. That had to be good, right?

Right.

At least that's what Tony was hoping as he'd added more backup plans to his list based on the little tidbits she'd dropped here and there. Because that was just how he rolled when faced with bizarre scenarios.

But right now? Right now he was going to spend the evening with Steve to make up for, well, everything about the weekend. "I ordered pizza," he called once he heard Steve and the dog coming back from a walk.

"It's going to be amazing," Steve said, going back to his pizza and smiling.

"You think that about all these romcoms," Tony replied, laughing.

"I like the happy endings," Steve admitted.

"Well then," Tony said, placing a hand on Steve's chest as he rested his head against his shoulder. "I'll allow it."

Steve smiled softly at him. "Thanks for indulging me."

"I can understand the appeal."

[heroic_jawline]

"I thought you might," Steve agreed, watching the actors on the screen go through a fairly standard meet-cute.

"Even if I think things should have an explosion or two." You know. For science.

[heroic_jawline]

"Well, this one will because she's a spy," Steve assured him. "Probably a shootout, too."

[imafuturist]

"...okay, I'm in." With only some comments about the scientific accuracy of the explosions.

Well, of course. "I know what you like, too."

Which was, apparently, a Steve lookalike?

"That actor," Tony began before having to trail off for a moment.

"He has a good beard, huh," Steve said helpfully.

[imafuturist]

"Well, yes." He did for sure. "But he sort of... looks like you if you were..."

He moved his hands together to attempt to illustrate the lack of a Dorito shape.

[heroic_jawline]

"Less government-made?" Steve offered, smiling. "And blonde?"

[imafuturist]

"Exactly," Tony replied.

[heroic_jawline]

"Is it going to bother you to watch?" Steve wondered.

[imafuturist]

"No, no. It's interesting in a way. Fake Steve."

Look at him!

"It's funny," Steve agreed. "I guess there's always someone out in the world that kind of looks like you, huh? This one's an actor."

[imafuturist]

"I think if I had one out there, they'd be making a lot more money," Tony remarked.

[heroic_jawline]

"People could get his face tattooed on their arms instead of yours," Steve teased. "Or was that just in my universe?"

Tony had been slightly weirded out by that one.

Tony laughed at that. "Wow, really?"

[heroic_jawline]

"Tony met a guy," Steve said, nodding. "The facial hair is tough to get right, apparently."

"No thank you," Tony said, making a face. "Iron Man, sure. Me as a tattoo? No."

"What if I get one with a 'return to Tony' written under it?" Steve teased.
