Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree - NYC - Sunday Afternoon

Well, it had felt necessary to do the tourist thing and go look at the tree with the mass of people leading up to the holiday. The urge to do this was quickly passing as they were in the moment of it.

Mostly because it was too cold for Steve and too crowded for the both of them. But it was a pretty tree at least. The lone upside to the whole afternoon here.

"We can say we saw it now," Tony suggested, arm curled around Steve's and all bundled up in winter gear that was probably too expensive for where they were. Like he was just asking to be pickpocketed or something.

(Joke was on them, he never remembered to carry a wallet because why would he?)

His poor, poor arms. Steve's, naturally, were fine.

"I think you overestimate what the bike'll carry," he said.

"Well, we have to drink our cocoa, so we can eat some chocolate while we wait on that?"

Steve, don't think he wouldn't come up with a plan here.

Steve sighed. "I can't think of a better idea," he admitted.

Tony leaned over to kiss him on the cheek for that. "You'll enjoy it."

"The twenty dollar hot chocolate? I certainly hope so," Steve said, like an old person.

"You picked Brooklyn," Tony said, laughing.

[heroic_jawline]

"Twenty. Dollars," Steve repeated.

Tony just snorted. "Think we can find a place to sit?"

"I'm sure there's a park around the corner if you aren't going to complain about your warm butt on cold concrete," Steve teased.

"I'll just make you warm me up later." Yes, that was a shameless come-on.

Steve laughed. "Why do you think I picked the motorcycle for this trip? I've been buttering you up."

"Next you'll be plying me with pizza and a soft pretzel," he teased, holding the drinks to the side so he could steal a kiss without spilling.

"Maybe," Steve said with a grin as he kissed him back. "I know you."

"And that I'll gleefully allow it?" Tony asked.

[heroic_jawline]

"I was hoping for that part, too," Steve said.

Tony hummed and kissed him again for that. The cocoa was going to get cold at this rate.

"How far's the hotel from here?" Steve asked.

[imafuturist]

Tony laughed at that. "Not too far."

As long as they kept their hands to themselves on the way.

"Close enough that you can hold the giant bag of chocolate after we finish our drinks and not fall off the back of the bike in a way guaranteed to end you up on the front page of Newsday?" Steve teased.

"I promise you I can manage that," Tony said solemnly.

Steve grinned and kissed him again. "Then drink your hot chocolate."

He'd tasted it and it was almost worth 20 dollars.

"Bossy," Tony said, leaning into him as he took his sip of hot cocoa. That cost a reasonable amount.

He thought.

"The faster you're finished, the sooner we're back at the hotel," Steve wheedled.

"Because you're cold or because you want in my pants?" Tony asked. Did he time it for when Steve was drinking? Look, these things happen.
