Well, they'd had another repeat kid. One from a less than ideal timeline from the sound of things. But it was consistent. That had to be good, right?

Right.

At least that's what Tony was hoping as he'd added more backup plans to his list based on the little tidbits she'd dropped here and there. Because that was just how he rolled when faced with bizarre scenarios.

But right now? Right now he was going to spend the evening with Steve to make up for, well, everything about the weekend. "I ordered pizza," he called once he heard Steve and the dog coming back from a walk.

"It sounds different enough," Tony said. "I'm a wrench in the works, right?"

"A very welcome wrench," Steve said, nodding. "She kept looking at the beard."

"Well, tonight we're going to eat pizza and curl up on the couch together," Tony said, like it was an executive order.

"That's the best thing I've heard all day," Steve murmured.

"We can circle back to plans after." Add to all of Tony's. So, so many plans.

Steve loved all of your plans. "Have you updated them?" he teased lightly.

"Just a few." SO MANY, STEVE.

"How many is a few, sweetheart?" Steve asked, following the pizza smell towards food.

"A perfectly normal... valid amount," Tony said, trailing after him. "Just a couple."

Dozen?

Steve stopped to squeeze Tony's hand. "I'm not gonna be mad about how many," he said. "I like how thorough you are."

Tony squeezed his habd back. "Well, I'd love your input on them."

"I'm happy to give it," Steve said. "I told Wanda about all of your plans and how you take it kind of personally when the island outthinks you."

"I... kind of do," Tony admitted. "I was better at this before!"

Steve gave him a smile as he dished up pizza. "You're still good at it."

Tony kissed him only half as a distraction to get himself a slice. "This place tests me."

"It's good for you," Steve said, not thinking how Morgan might be sent to test him.

"I'll keep that in mind," he said with a quiet laugh.

Steve gave him another smile. "The pizza smells great."

"You get to pick the movie we watch." So, a ridiculous Lifetime Original.

"Ooh there's a new one about a guy who's dating a spy but he doesn't know it," Steve said excitedly.

Starring a dude with Steve's face. It was gonna be weird.

"Do you think that's common?" Natasha would know.

"In our circle of friends?" Steve said, taking a bite of pizza. "Probably."
