Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree - NYC - Sunday Afternoon

Well, it had felt necessary to do the tourist thing and go look at the tree with the mass of people leading up to the holiday. The urge to do this was quickly passing as they were in the moment of it.

Mostly because it was too cold for Steve and too crowded for the both of them. But it was a pretty tree at least. The lone upside to the whole afternoon here.

"We can say we saw it now," Tony suggested, arm curled around Steve's and all bundled up in winter gear that was probably too expensive for where they were. Like he was just asking to be pickpocketed or something.

(Joke was on them, he never remembered to carry a wallet because why would he?)

"Don't we all," Tony agreed, leaning into his side.

Now that they were past the crush of the tourists, Steve leaned in for a longer, more thorough kiss.

Tony hummed, lingering there until someone yelled at them for standing still on the sidewalk. Because it wasn't New York without people giving zero fucks about your romantic moment.

Steve laughed and pulled away. "I love this city."

"Missed the attitude here?" Tony asked, ducking his head to laugh.

"Maybe a little," Steve admitted. "They just don't care at all about who we might be."

Tony grinned and pulled him along so they weren't holding up the foot traffic. "And no one has time for idiots in the middle of the sidewalk."

"Well, who does?" Steve asked, laughing.

"And only tourists stop more than necessary," Tony replied. "Or people filming something."

Steve sniffed. "The Instagram people."

Sometimes Steve was exactly as old as his birthyear said he was.

"Oh my god, old man." Tony said with another laugh.

"I am not," Steve said erroneously.

"Ancient," he teased, leaning in for another kiss.

"You're robbing the cradle," Steve teased.

Tony squawked eloquently. "I am not!"

"I'm younger than you!"

And soooo much older!

"Being frozen doesn't mean you're not older than me," Tony insisted. "If anyone is robbing the cradle, it's you."

"And I married a billionaire," Steve teased gleefully. "Shame on me for taking advantage of someone so young?"

"Robbed me of my innocence," Tony said with a little swoon.

Steve laughed in earnest at that reply. "Did I?"

"Poor, poor me," Tony continued, grinning at him.

"And now I'll corrupt you more by having you ride on my motorcycle," Steve said.

"Ohhh nooo," Tony said, crowding in against him to try getting his hands inside Steve's jacket to hug him,

"You seem very worried," Steve teased, leaning into the embrace.

"Terribly worried. I don't know how I'll sleep tonight."

He'd sleep curled up with a super soldier teddy bear. That's how he'd sleep.
